That makes it a convenient base for exploring the royal town while staying slightly outside its busiest downtown streets, where traffic and parking tend to take up more of the day than anyone plans for.
Muar rewards an unhurried approach. The riverfront, the town's older streets and its long-running food culture are all close enough to reach by car and easy to return from at the end of the evening.
Most guests fall into the same rhythm within a day: out in the morning before the heat, back for the middle of the afternoon, and out again once the light softens over the water.
